Black Basalt
Large rock retaining walls made from giant black basalt boulders offer both durability and striking visual appeal. These impressive structures not only prevent soil erosion but also enhance the aesthetic of any landscape, providing a bold and natural look.
The slope that needed to be retained was over 20 feet tall and 100 feet long. These massive boulders were installed with the face of the wall staggered to give it a more natural look, creating spaces for vegetation to grow. This also makes the retaining stronger and avoids engineering costs.
